Angela Gossow Urach

Angela Gossow was born to Christian parents in Cologne, Germany, and was the youngest of three siblings. She was 17 years old when her parents divorced. The bankruptcy of their company caused more financial problems. Bulimia and anorexic eating made her a victim. Gossow's response to her decision to stop performing as the vocalist of the band ARCH ENEMY was straightforward The answer was: There's an appropriate and inappropriate moment for every thing. The first time I was on the road was in 1991. I had lost the excitement of in this position, living my life in the open road. Instead of feigning it I quit, I decided to stop. At first, the lead singer of the group was Johan Liiva. She was changed in 2000 to German vocalist Angela Gossow. The song "You're the voice" was recorded at the age of 1986 with Australian musician John Farnham. It became an instant hit, not just in Australia but also in Ireland and UK. She was as well the lead singer and a founding band member of Canadian metalcore group, the Agonist. Arch Enemy is a band worthy of respect.
